Shibumi: Grani's original data was damaged when it returned to the Digital World. It could have dispersed into the Digital Streams, but Grani is self-aware, and wouldn't let that happen. Grani held on to an image of itself that Daisy was able to rebuild. But it still exists as data only, until we give it a form in the real world. That's where the Digivice comes in; It teaches data to behave.

The ARMS [ARtifical MonSter] Grani was named after the steed of Sigurd in Norse myth, but Sigurd's name is usally confused with name of another, "Siegfreid".
Comes from one of Shakespeare's plays: King Richard III. At the end of the play, before Richard is killed, he cries out 'A horse! A horse! My kingdom for a horse!'
