When Myotismon is introduced, DemiDevimon says he hates bats. But DemiDevimon is a bat or, at least, based on one.
For a while, Digimon was, Shown on CITV with certain scenes cut. This episode had the scene where DemiDevimon attack Biyomon removed, So we simply saw her down, with no explanations to what had happen.
(Birdramon has finally Digivolved to the Ultimate level)
Garudamon: Sora, I can feel your love. It's making me strong!
Sora: (in tears) My crest. It glows!
Myotismon: These Digidestined are making me feel a little... batty. Grisly Wing!
Myotismon: Courage. Hope. Friendship. One by one, the children's crests are starting to glow.
DemiDevimon: Everybody makes mistakes. Remember disco?
(Myotismon reveals himself to the digidestined)
Sora: That's it! That's the thing Demidevimon was talking to!
Demidevimon: He's not a thing! He's Lord Myotismon!
Tai: Myotismon?
Demidevimon: It's Lord Myotismon!!!
Tai: Even if what you said is true, you shouldn't believe a word from that loser DemiDevimon. (Sora's eyes well up with tears)
Tai: He's just a creep that's trying to hurt you! (Sora starts to cry)
Tai: Wait! Wait! Don't cry, Sora! Don't cry, Sora. Matt, help me out! I don't know what to do with her when she starts blubbering!
Matt: Just let her go, Tai. She'll be okay.
Agumon: Boy, Matt's like a real grown-up.
Gabumon: Now if only he would cut his hair!
Palmon: It's been so long since I've seen you. My you've...shrunk.

This episode was published in the manga Digimon Digital Monsters Volume 3.
In the original version, Sora mentions that her mom was a Ikebana Teacher. Ikebana is an Ancient Japanese art of Arranging flowers. Ikebana is a disciplined art form in which nature and humanity are brought together. this art is of Buddhist origin and is still in practice in Japan.

Sora is the fourth person to make her partner Digivolve from Champion to Ultimate. She does it for the sake of battling Myotismon.
This is the second time a name of a crest was used for the title of an episode. The first one was 'The Crest of Sincerity'.
Devidramon and Phantomon appear in this episode but aren't properly introduced until "The Gateway to Home" and "Flower Power" respectively.
Throughout this series, the scenes where Demidevimon uses his demidart attack are edited out in the US except in this episode where he attempts to use it on Sora.
Myotismon is fully shown in this episode as well as the debut Garudamon (Birdramon's Ultimate Form) and Flymon.
This episode is intended to reveal to the kids the traits of their Crests, which they are not supposed to have known before now. However, the dub slips up in a few previous episodes, identifying some Crests by name.
