After being chased away by Kuwagamon, the DigiDestined arrive at a beach where none of the phones work. Then Shellmon arrives, and the Digimon are too weak to help. Can the kids or any of the Digimon find a way to defeat him?

    What another exciting episode of Digimon: Digital Monsters where Agumon is left to battle Shellmon. He is the only one to fight him since Agumon was the only one to have food, while everyone else's attempt didn't work. Agumon and Tai are captured, then Agumon turns into Greymon who is bigger than Shellmon. Tai is dropped from Shellmon's hands and start cheering. Agumon knocks Shellmon far away into the river, but he might go back. One of the characters mention that if there is a phone booth at the beach, there could have been a reason for why it's there like there might be people to use them. So they go off to look for those people.

    Looks like they are the only people there. I hope soon Agumon doesn't turn into Omnimon, or there would be trouble. Actually, that would be a good thing. Anyways, I wonder what would happen in the next episode of Digimon: Digital Monsters. Let's find out.moreless

  • The children find themselves at a beach. They get attacked by Shellmon which Prompts Agumon to Digivolve into Greymon. Greymon defeats Shellmon with Ease and saves the day.

    The first episode was an interesting start to the series. It put it in the write direction. The children are placed into a situation that they don't understand as a result do not know how to act in response to this situation. In this episode, the children attempt to find answers. It is very interesting that the writers would put telephones in this episodes. The icon of the telephone is very unique and acutally adds irony to the situaiton since the children cannot seem to communicate with anyone. This can be seen as some sort of criticism on technology and how useless it is. Anyways, the team begins to assemble itself and we start to get familiar with some of the characters. Joe whines a lot more in this episode. Tai starts to portray the selfishness that drives his character throughout. The others get some treatment as well. Another interesting point about this episode is that it contrasts with the first episode in many ways. This episode's central purpose the evolution and battle of one digimon as opposed to all of them. This brings into contest the question of whether an individual is stronger on his/her own or whether the strength lies in the team. In the first episode, the digimon digivovle together and fight as team. In this one, Greymon fights alone. Another interesting aspect is that the digimon digivolves yet again to protect his particular partner. This will obviously play a moajor part later. This episode is very enjoyable to watch. It is on par with the first one and is one of those episodes that you want to watch again and again.moreless

  • Another monster to beat, continuing from last episode's cliffhanger.

    Now the last episode was mainly about introducing the characters and Digimon. This episode still continues some of that but also shows us that there are more monsters out there.

    In this episode I found out that the Digimon need energy from the kids in order to battle. Luckily, they had some food supplies with them. Another monster has to be defeated and the only way they could do this was by the further energy.

    This episode also has some funny moments in it too. For example, since the Digimon don't really know much about humans, they didn't know what parents are. "What's a parents?"

    Overall, a good episode with some good jokes. A lot of laughs were mainly from the character, Joe since he seems to be the complainer of the group.moreless

    Okay, so the gang is plummetting to their doom, when Gomamon uses a fish net to save them all! Then they walk to a beach with many phone booths. None of them work, but they all try. A DigiWorld mystery... anyhow, then they try to see how long their food will last, when Shellmon comes in and thrashes them!! Agumon is the only Digimon with a full belly, so he is the only one who can fight! He digivolves to Greymon and blasts Shellmon away.moreless

  • The kids have just escaped Kuagamon when they come to a beach. They find some phones there but none of them work, thats when Shellmon appears. The rookies can't win but Ty is captured and to save him Agumon digivolves to Greymon and saves the day.moreless

    Awesome second episode. The digivolution sequence in this one was pretty sweet, and the battle between Greymon and Shellmon is also fairly exciting. It is sort of odd though that the phones on the beach, are well on the beach! Come to think of it why are there even phones in an alternate dimension? Well, I also must say i found the look for Shellmon very intersting indeed especially his hair ( I think thats hair anyway , the detail on the shell is also very nice for a shell. In short this was a great follow up to the pilot of the series like im sure all the rest of the episodes will be.moreless
