In the original, when reverting to his normal clothes, Ken screamed out of anger, and in the dub he is crying.
"Kari had never seen any crest other than the original eight. How in the world did she instantly know that this new crest was that of Kindness?"
-In many of the sourcebooks, Kari is listed as having extrasensory abilities(hence the Season One episode where she channels the spirit that teaches them about how they became Digidestined). It probably just popped into her head, and she blurted it out.
In response to above: In several of the sourcebooks, as well as at least one or two of the episodes, Kari is said to have low-level ESP. It probably just kicked in and told her what the crest was.
June: Hey, Matt! I made it!
Matt: Oh no, she followed us! She's like a boomerang that keeps coming back!
Wormmon: Whatever happened to that sweet kid I met a long time ago, who had a dream to take over the Digital World? Okay, sure, so it was a sick and twisted dream, but still, we had a lot of laughs together...
Davis (about Kimeramon): He's no match for you, Magnamon. But just in cause he is, I'll get the others!
Halsemon: (After the Digimon Emperor's base falls to the ground) Oh, the humanity!
Wormmon (About Kimeramon): Master, let's leave! He'll destroy you!
Digimon Emperor: But I'm his...creator. I nurtured him from the beginning with evil! These kids nowadays have no respect!
Davis: Golden Armour Energize!
Veemon: Veemon, Golden Armour Digivolve to...Magnamon!
Davis: Wow, that was intense. You're about the coolest thing I've ever seen! Look at those rad shoulder pads! I could use them as boogie boards!
Magnamon (as his vital status appears): I am a Golden Armor Digimon, Magnamon. I attack with my Magna Blaster, and I look so good doing it, too!
Armadillomon: Armadillomon armor Digivolve to...
Digmon: Digmon, The drill of Knowledge! (I used to say power, but this makes me sound smarter!)
Digimon Emperor: Hey, DigiFools! Do you honestly think your new Digimon can beat me? He couldn't even beat my flashlight!
Wormmon: Please Magnamon, save Ken for me, here's what little energy I have left...use it!
Magnamon: Wormmon's power has re-energized me! (Magnamon begins to gather all his energy into his body, shouting out) Magna Explosion!!!
(Kimeramon is obliterated in a flash of light)
Digimon Emperor(To Wormmon): Listen up you little night-crawler if had a friend it certainly wouldn't be you!
This episode was published in the manga Digimon Zero Two Volume 1.
This is the fifth time the name of a crest was used for a title of an episode. The first was 'The Crest of Sincerity', the second was 'Sora's Crest of Love' and the third was 'The Crest of Light', the fourth was 'The Crest of Friendship'.
Japanese Title: "Goodbye...Ken"
This Episode Marks The First Time Digmon Says "The Drill Of Knowledge" When He Armor-Digivolves From Armadillomon. This Would Continue For The Rest Of The Season
Magnamon does not appear again in this season.
It is revealed that Ken's crest is the Crest of Kindness.
When Magnamon calls out, "Magna Explosion!", the attack is a complete resemblence of what Goku uses in Dragonball Z. After all, the animators that made Digimon possible are the same ones that worked for DBZ.
Magnamon Attack's: Magna Kick, Magna Punch, Magna Blast [Beam], Magna Blast [Missiles], Magna Explosion
Wormmon and Kimeramon are deleted in this episode, but Wormmon will return in "Genesis of Evil."
Magnamon makes his debut.
The episode finishes the Digimon Emperor saga.
Halsemon says, "Oh, the humanity!" after the base falls to the ground. This is a reference to the infamous radio broadcast of the Hindenburg explosion.
