    Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

    FILTER BY TYPE

    • TRIVIA (1)

      • When Takato swipes a card with the gang, his digivice is showen as red, but it should be yellow as he lost his red one and gained a yellow one.

    • QUOTES (7)

      • Calumon: Impmon, now what are you doing, huh?
Impmon: I got this static pain in my head. I think it's called a conscience. I gotta go do something about it.

      • Seiko: Your mother and I cooked all day. Now eat up before it gets cold.
Rika (to Rumhiko): Wow. You cook?
Rumhiko: Of course, silly! I'm not just all looks, you know!

      • Terriermon: Buns and beans and sauerkraut, I'm gonna eat 'til I pass out!

      • Janyu: Coffee break's over, my friends. I just got the original data on D-Reaper!
Yamaki (laughs): But how'd you get it?
Janyu: A pal of mine in Germany saved a copy. That's the great advantage of having nerdy friends. They never delete anything!

      • Takato: I couldn't get any sleep last night, and not because Guilmon snores like a dump truck.

      • Guilmon: I need a bigger tummy, Takato. Draw me one?
        Takato: Okay.
        Guilmon: You're a pal!
        Terriermon: Draw him some self-control!
Henry: And just how many buns have you had?
Terriermon: Two, three, twelve... I lost count!

      • Henry: Everytime I wake up in school, I think I'm in a nightmare.

    • NOTES (5)

      • Original title: "The Mysterious Girl! Bringer of miracler, Dobermon"

      • The song "Evo" plays when the Digi-Destined are attacked.

      • Michael Sorich, who plays Dobermon, plays him in the style of the wrestler Randy Savage.

      • Debut: Dobermon

      • Alice, Dolphin's grand daughter, was named after one of the characters in another work of Konaka's, Serial Experiment Lain. His outfit design & bits of her personality were modeled R. Dorothy of Big-O {Abnother series done by Konaka}.

It's entirely possible that Alice, the gothic granddaughter of Rob "Dolphin" McCoy of the Monster Makers, is dead. Konaka himself noted that after he wrote the script for the episode, he thought it was possible that "Alice had stopped being this world" (poor translation courtesy of Babelfish). He only notes it as a possibility, so it is deliberately ambiguous and up to the viewer to draw their own conclusions. But Dolphin's forlorn stares at Alice's picture do seem to suggest something...
