Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

  • TRIVIA (1)

  • QUOTES (7)

    • Puppetmon: (watching Tai and Matt argue) Alright! Those twerps are about to self-destruct. I'll sit back and enjoy the show.

    • Patamon: Gee, now we're all gonna be split up again.
Biyomon: Just when we were finally all together.
Gatomon: You may think we're separated, but we're really not.
      Patamon/Biyomon: Huh?
Gatomon: The roads might be different, but the place we end up in is the same. I mean, think about it. If they truly are the digidestined, they're destined to be together once again. At least, that's the way I hope it works out....

    • Joe: Ahh! Piedmon is here! Don't come any closer! Shoo! Go away!
Gomamon: Relax, he's just an image.
Sora: Yeah, save your screaming for the real thing.

    • Tentomon: This is no space age vacuum cleaner! Meet Mekanorimon. His Twin Beam will annihilate anything... which makes housework a breeze.

    • Izzy: His name is Gardromon. He's a machine digimon. And his armour is constructed of solid iron. Absolutely nothing can penetrate that can of beans.

    • Tai: The problem with you is pretty easy to figure out. You're upset because you wanna be the boss.
Matt: Yeah, like I wanna be boss of this sorry group. If any of you brainiacs wanna take charge, be my guest. I say we should just take care of ourselves.
Sora: Stop fighting, you two! We've got to stick together.
Tai: Don't look at me, Matt's the one who started it. He's got a bug up his nose. Huh. I don't have to listen to this.
Agumon: Bug up the nose? That's a bad thing?

    • Joe: (seeing himself from 4 years ago) How typical, I'm on the telephone.

  • NOTES (10)

    • This episode was published in the manga Digimon Digital Monsters Volume 5.

    • This is the first time we hear the words "Warp Digivolve" when Agumon becomes WarGreymon.

    • Tai and Matt get into a fight for the second time (the first time was in "Subzero Ice Punch"), and this time, the rest of the Digi-Destined are actually witnessing this fight.

    • This is the true "Legend of the Digi-Destined" seeing how the other episode didn't explain much about them.

    • This is the first time that two Digi-Destined in any of the TV series have their Digimon face-off in a battle. It is the only time that the Digimon fight while their partners also fight.

That's not entirely true. In the Season 2 episode "An Old Enemy Returns" TK and Ken (aka the Digimon Emperor) get into a fight as do Patamon and Wormmon at the same time while on his fortress.

    • We finally learn why Gatomon was separated from the Digidestined Digimon before she became Myotismon's slave. Gennai's Mekanorimon's arm holding the Digidestined Digi-Eggs was blasted by Guardromon's Guardian Barrage attack, causing one of the eggs to fall out of sight.

    • Gardromon and Mekanorimon make their debut in a flashback in a conflict between Piedmon and a younger Gennai.

    • This marks the first time that the Digi-Destined identified Parrotmon in a flashback of four years ago.

    • Gardromon is also spelled Guardromon, especially in Season 3.

    • The part where Tai and Matt's punches hitting each other have been edited out for being too violent.
