Because Dilbert thinks that Juliet is poisoned he poisons himself. To be more like the play Juliet would need to also poison herself.
Goof: During the meeting, the Marketing guy on the far left is not wearing a coat over his shirt. Then, he is seen wearing a brown coat, then, as if by magic, his coat has turned to blue.
Dogbert is standing on books when he picks up Dilbert from the Jiffy Pump. One of the books he is standing on is Wibsters-the dictionary from episode 1
Dilbert's choice of clothes including the boss' shorts make him look like he is dressed in Renaissance clothes.
In the real Romeo and Juliet, Juliet is a Capulet (Crapulet in Dilbert), not a Montague(Marketguru)
Dilbert: The key of this game is to demoralize them from the start.
Dilbert: Second base. No engineer has ever gotten that far.
Alice: It's always the woman who has to work twice as hard.
Dogbert: Wally, you're second base.
Wally: I don't know how to play second base.
Dogbert: It's easy. Just wear white canvas clothing and lie on the ground for nine innings.
Alice: I think we need a new player coach. Preferably someone who isn't a total Wally.
Wally: What exactly do you mean by that?
Dilbert: We use your name as a pejorative now.
Wally: You do?
Alice: Yeah, you know as in "he's a total Wally," or "I gotta take a Wally" that sort of thing.
Wally: Hmmm, it's catchy.
Vern: I retired. I didn't die you nitwit.
Wally: Can we hurry up? That aroma of burning flesh is making me hungry.
Pointy-Haired Boss: But this year we can't rest on our buns no matter how plump and delicious they might be.
Dilbert: 2B, or not 2B, that is the question.
Dogbert: Hitting a baseball is the most difficult thing in all of sports, but getting hit by a pitch is the easiest.
This episode is done in the spirit of Shakespeare's "Romeo & Juliet".
Jiffy Pump: This is an allusion to Jiffy Lube, only in this case this is for humans.
Weiner District: This is an allusion to the area of a city called the Meatpacking District.
