To explain the previous goofs, they clearly say at the dinner "You seem to lean left," so although right handed, he may eat left handed, which isn't entirely uncommon. He could have gotten in trouble at first for doing one thing left handed, and the attempts at execution later where because he tried to unionize the workers.
Dilbert is right-handed in the comic strip.
Dilbert is persecuted for being left-handed when he uses his left hand to use his fork. Later in the episode you can clearly see him write on a clipboard with his right hand
Dilbert: What are you doing? Dogbert: I'm taking the mud. Dilbert: Why? Dogbert: I've taken everything else. Dilbert: That's cruel. Dogbert: No, that's diplomacy.
Dilbert: (to Dogbert) I'm an engineer, not a normal person.
Dictator: Here's my final offer: designated smoke breaks for anyone who catches fire. Take it or leave it.
Dogbert: Nothing like slave labor to perk up the economy.
Dilbert: (after witnessing Elbonian workers falling into an acid vat) Shouldn't there be a guard rail around that? Elbonian Slavedriver: (laughing) That's a good one.
Elbonian Slavedriver: Get to work, you lazy corpse!
Dogbert: (firing machine gun) Dance for your diplomat! Dance! (Elbonian officer dances) Dogbert: (firing again at the officer's feet) Now Riverdance! (Elbonian officer takes off his shirt and puts on a red headband before resuming dance.)
Pointy-Haired Boss: (to Wally) Oh, great mudman, is this a sign from above? Wally: (looking at the draining mud) Looks more like a sign from below... Pointy-Haired Boss: ...Ignorant mudboy....
Dictator: Nobody survives... the giant mudball!! Elbonian in the crowd: I did! Dictator: Shut up!
Dogbert: Diplomatic immunity. Tear up that ticket. Eat it. Now regurgitate it.
Elbonian Man: We are very superstitious people, we believe that when you take our picture, you are taking our soul. (Pointy Haired Boss takes his picture) Elbonian Man: (running away in horror) AH, WHAT DID I JUST TELL YOU?!?!?!
Wally: (to Elbonians) It rained for 40 days and 40 nights, so naturally, there was a ton of mud. And that's the story of Noah's Mud. Tomorrow's story is Adam & Eve and the Garden of Mud.
Carol: Have I ever lied to you? ...And later been detected?
Wally: I am one with the mud.
This is the first mention of the country of Elbonia.
This is the first appearance of Carol, the Pointy-Haired Boss' secretary.
Las Elbonia: A take off on the city of Las Vegas, Nevada. Also explains why Henry Kissinger is singing a take off of the Elvis song Viva Las Vegas in which the lyrics are Viva Las Elbonia.
Henry Kissinger: A former Secretary of State. He is mentioned because he is a doctor of diplomacy.
Shave the Children: A take off of the Christian charity organization Save the Children.
40 days and 40 nights: The length of time of the great flood in the Bible story of Noah's Ark.
Riverdance: An Irish / Celtic dancing style, popular during the late 1990s.
