    Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

    FILTER BY TYPE

    • TRIVIA (1)

      • This episode was filmed at the Pinot Hollywood restaurant on 1448 N. Gower St.

The location, also used for episode 3, is now the site of "eat. at sunset."

    • QUOTES (2)

      • (Daryl Hannah talks about working on "Bladerunner")
Marilyn Manson: That had an impact on me when I saw it.
Jon Favreau: I know, me too. And I was like at that age too where I was like I had the biggest crush on you from that.
        Daryl Hannah: On me?

      • Daryl Hannah: My father was a real estate man but he was sent it (The Producers) to produce and it was called "Springtime for Hitler" and he was a Russian Jew so he just threw it away immediately and it ended up becoming his favorite movie.

    • NOTES (2)

      • "Pornstar", the movie Jon mentions as his current writing project, ultimately was cancelled.

      • There are only three guests in this episode instead of the usual four. Michael Rapaport was scheduled to be the fourth guest but had to cancel because he was with director Ted Demme that day, and Demme had a heart attack and died.

    • ALLUSIONS (2)

      • Absinthe

Absinthe is a liquer that was very popular among Parisian artists in the early 1900's and was later banned in the U.S. and most European countries because of Absinthe's potency and supposed drug-like effect. Those laws have been mostly repealed, with the exception of the U.S.

      • Twiggy (Bass) and Pogo (Keyboards), two of the names that come up during the description of Groupie are members of Marilyn Manson's band.
