The Dino-Riders apparently have nothing like the Prime Directive in their society. They have absolutely no problem interfering in a war taking place in a different time period, using futuristic weapons in front of a primitive culture, and transporting animals to an unfamiliar environment.
Among the animals the commandos enlist and arm with weaponry from the command center are two Wooly Mammoths. Just when exactly did those two get recruited? Considering the state Glyde was in after the stampede, it seems unlikely the commandos would deliberately seek them out.
The fact that these primitive Neanderthals and Cro-Magnons speak English well enough to easily talk to the commandos is ridiculous. The few words that they choose to have difficulty with are laughable.
The sound effect for the amps is really odd.
Exactly what kind of dinosaur is Kameelian riding anyway? It looks like a gray Triceratops with a really large rhino horn.
At one point during the opening battle, a Rulon Triceratops looks to be the same size as the T-Rex.
Krulos, Gunner, and Icon are back to the coloring they had in the first two episodes. Kameelian has gotten a makeover as well.
Questar: Remember my friends, as Dino-Riders we are united in our quest for peace and harmony. Krulos will never change that! (last line of the series)
Kub introduces the commandos as magicians able to control the wild animals. It therefore makes sense that he is later shown to be slightly uncomfortable riding the Saber-tooth Tiger.
Kameelian's expertise extends to the mammals of the Ice Age – he'll prove vital in ensuring the new animals adjust to their prehistoric surroundings.
The Dino-Riders have solar insulation in their suits that adjusts to protect them against extremes in temperature.
The commandos travel forward in time but stay in the same area throughout their adventure. Since there is no sign of the ship or their settlement, it can be deduced that the Dino-Riders' civilization either went extinct with the dinosaurs or left Prehistoric Earth for good.
The S.T.E.P. hasn't been used for time traveling since the pilot episode.
The producers evidently hoped to rejuvenate the series with this episode. The story adds Kub and the Ice Age mounts to the Dino-Riders' ranks, promises future trips in time to visit Zar and Maia, and hints that Grom will go join the Rulons.
This episode (animated by Isand Animation, Inc) was released on video some time after the series ended. It featured the toys from the third and final series of Dino-Riders action figures.
