Did you know the main characters' names came from oil/gas companies?
Because gas and oil comes from fossil fuel, which usually is made from the remains of prehistoric animals.
Examples include:
Ethal Phillips=Phillips Patroleum
Roy Hess= Hess Corperation
BP Richfield= BP and Richfieldgas stations
and last, but not least the main family, the Sinclairs of course, comes from Sinclair Oil, which is most famous for it's green dinosaur mascot, Earl is named after the company's owner, Earl Holding, and also if you notice Earl's shirt is the Sinclair clan's tartan.
