    • TRIVIA (2)

      • When Karl says "Where's Lok and his frog when you need him", he's referring to the episode "Night of the Wartosa" that was originally supposed to air before this episode. In that episode Lok's toad makes Karl repeat a night over and over. This episode ended up airing before "Night of the Wartosa", causing this reference to be confusing.

      • The gender of Sandy, the dog, continuously alternates throughout this episode.

    • QUOTES (6)

      • Karl: So what's it gonna be today, guys: fruit and vegetables or you wanna do vegetables and fruit for a change?
Zipeau: Do I detect a hint of sarcasm?

      • Zipeau: Guys, be careful! I think it's hungry... I know it's hungry! Look at those teeth! You're not listening to me. Stay away from that...that...what is it?
Karl: I don't know. What do you think it is? Maybe it's from another planet. Had any weird light sightings lately, Zip?
        Zipeau: Lights? What lights?
        David: It's a dog, Zipeau.
        Zipeau: A dog?! What's a dog?

      • Zipeau: Guys...guys...don't leave me here with the dog. (The dog looks at Zipeau) Oh, hello. I was just talking about you. I... err - you're not going to hurt me are you?

      • Zipeau: You mean you actually owned other living beings?
(Karl looks to David. David shakes his head at Karl. Karl smiles)
Karl: Oh yeah! And not just cats and dogs either. You can get all kinds of animals at a pet-shop.
        Zipeau: Pet-shop?!

      • Waldo (about the dog): Everybody's talking about her, you know. The whole city wants to see her.
Frank: Well, give her a break, you know. She's gone from being man's best friend to an endangered species in one reef moment.

      • Gracie: But what about you? You can't stay out here - the storm. Why don't you tell me where you are? Why don't you come with us?
Karl: I can't. I'd be letting down a whole lot of people, who are counting on me.

    • NOTES (0)

    • ALLUSIONS (1)

      • Karl: You have so much to learn, Grasshopper.

Grasshopper is the name Master Po gave his student Kwai Chang Caine in the 1970's television series Kung Fu, which followed the life of a Shaolin monk in the American Old West.
