    Ok, this is just crazy.

It just seems like Hollywood (i don't mean just FX) decided to get rid of every good show that was on the air recently. I cannot believe they keep such crap like f.ex Bold and the beautiful for 20 years but they cancel this (and not just this)...

The show was great, so - of course - it got canceled after second season (or more after 20 episodes which doesn't count as 2 seasons for me...).

I'm sorry, I'm just sooo mad...

WHOA, whoa! B&B is amazing. I have to admit that.
But D!RT and Bold are on different levels. B&B is a soap and D!RT is a nighttime drama. It is unfortunate D!RT got the boot though.

I know it's different. It was just an example. The point is that recently they cancelled a lot of really good shows and I don't reall see the reason...

Wow. That just sucks. It's the writer's strike I blame. So many shows got cancelled this season simply because they weren't given enough episodes to hook audiences. Dirt was still on tentative ground from Season 1 and it was still building up its audience, and it just had the rug pulled out from under it.

I'm tempted to call one of those numbers on the Parent Television Council and b**ch them out. The show was on at 10:00 at night....the kids should be in bed by then anyway.

I don't understand all this ok. first off. if you don't want your children to watch it.. block it or tell them NO!

it was at 10 at night... if your so concerned with what your children are watching then maybe you should take a vested interest and see EXCTLY what they are watching and if it's something you think they shouldn't be watching tell em to turn the TV off go to bed or change the channel.

Don't ruin shows for people who are old enough and mature enough to handle the content.

    I totally agree!

if parents are not strong enough to do that...well they should look in the mirror before blaming tv.

and whats up with this anyway?

like nip/tuck or dexter or so many other shows are not violent and porn like! you dont see them being cancelled.

    this sucks!

    so disappointed by those puritamericans!

they make great shows but the audience is too lame to appreciate it!

The PTC pulled advertisers. Big deal. Did they not notice how different this season was from last season? There was a LOT less sex and Lucy's vibrator was never used.

Even if they did pull "over 50 advertisers", there are still a lot more people who obviously paid because there were commercials every 10 minutes...

The PTC doesn't know what they're talking about half the time. They think they're doing something so fantastic by getting Dirt canceled, as they claim, when really it all came down to low ratings.

Isn't that sad? That it's easier for these people to cancel a TV show than to raise and control their children good enough to make them not watch it?

    This sucks.

As I ve watched episodes of Dirt online and Im from England, Im pretty sure the rating of the episode appears in the top left hand corner clearly stating "MA" for mature audiences (over 18s) right? Plus it is aired after the watershed in the U.K and the U.S. so that is a stupid article. Kids should be in their beds at this time and as mentioned above other shows contain this levelof "mature content". Season 1 had far more sex than Season 2...

The point is (is there is any sense at all) that they don't want to support the show finacialy by their cable fees.

Of course it doesn't make ANY sense but what can we do?

BTW: I think EVERY single thing that was shown in Dirt that would be inappropriate for children was there for reason. Other storylines involved a child-molesting minister and a gangster who decapitates a foe and keeps his head pickled in a jar. - They make is sound like the show supports it or sth. And the whole sex thing was basically nothing more than what's happening in real live. I think what's more wrong is when people are trying to pretend it's not.

And - at least for me - when she show is marked MAture they can show basically whatever they want to.

I'm not from US but it's really nothing what was shown on Dirt comparing to couple other shows. I'm quite sure it's not different is States.

(sorry for the long post, but I'm just so frustrated with this....)

There's not much anyone can do unless FX recends it's decision or another network picks up the show. I would think Nip Tuck is far worse than Dirt was when it came to sex, and violence....
