Dirty Sexy Money

The episode begins with Nick promising his wife a small vacation to a vineyard in Italy using a plane that belongs to Tripp. Tripp is unaware that Nick is going to meet a man who may know more about the death of Nick's father.

Meanwhile, Letitia comes clean to Tripp about the forty-year affair she had with Nick's father. Tripp seems to be heartbroken after he hears the news and begins to lose his grip. He later on tells his wife that he wants to make sure all of his children are in fact his, to which she agrees.

Cut to Nick as he appeases his wife Lisa's annoyance with his focus on the Darlings by taking her with him. However, things don't go as planned when Karen and Freddy decide to tag along with Nick and his wife. Upon arrival in Italy, Lisa learns that Nick and Karen used to have a relationship. Nick, having never told Lisa, runs after her when she leaves the lunch table in Italy. Freddie, who does know about her feelings for Nick, simply shakes his head.

Meanwhile, Brian Jr. needs some help with a bully at school. The older Brian teaches him he has to stand up to this boy and show him what he is made of. Brian Jr. shows his father the bully -- a very large girl. His father threatens the girl with the possibility of eternal damnation if she continues to bully his son.

Meanwhile, the episode begins to draw to a close in Italy as Nick has a meeting with a man to determine what happened to his father. Nick learns that his father met several times with a man named "C", but that's the only new information that he got. Nick boards the plane with his wife still mad at him and no closer to finding anything about what has happened to his father.
