This episode starts out with June dancing in her backyard peacefully by herself. She sways, spins, turns, and leaps. She is just enjoying her day before she is visited by an unexpected guest! A small dragon pops out at her from a bush in her yard, causing her to yelp! June sees that it's not a real dragon, but a small red beautiful dragon kite. June talks to the dragon kite for a while before the rest of the team comes along after hearing her yell. They ask what's wrong, but Little Dragon Kite jumps out from behind June, scaring the rest of the team at first glace too! June assures them that Little Dragon Kite is a friend and is not harmful. June then sees that Little Dragon Kite has something on his tail! As she picks it up, she sees that's is a card explaining the Great Kite Parade at the Great Wall of China today! On the back of the card, it shows all of the kites that will be in the parade; 3 big blue dragon kites, 2 large yellow dragon kites, and the massive orange Emperor kite! The team all takes a glance at the card, but then all of a sudden the kites on the postcard to missing! They are gone! "We've got to find them!" June shouts. Leo pulls out his baton and announces that they have got a mission! They have to find the Dragon kites so the parade can start! The team dashes to Rocket. The open the musical tree door and slide on down to greet Rocket. Leo explains the trouble and Rocket welcomes them on board. Little Dragon Kite attaches herself to the tip of Rocket's antenna so fly along.
BLAST OFF!
The team soars high in the sky in the direction of the Great Wall of China! Annie is the first to see that Little Dragon Kite is covering her eyes while they are flying. "She's brave!" Quincy points out. Even though Little Dragon Kite is afraid of heights, she still wants the team to continue the mission. Annie quickly makes up a kite parade song that goes a little like this, "We're off to save the kite parade, kite parade, kite parade! We're off to save the kite parade and find the missing kites!" In no time at all, she has the whole team singing the song! The team laughs. Once they arrive at the Great Wall of China, they find that it is very true that the Dragon Kites are missing! Rocket jumps when he thinks he hears one of them. The team heard it too! Rocket flies off in the direction where he might have heard it and takes them to a large construction known as the "Forbidden City". The team exits Rocket too see if any of the kites are here.
The team, along with Little Dragon Kite, begins climbing the large stair case leading into the Forbidden City. There are what seem like hundreds of stairs, but the team continues anyway. Once about half way up, Quincy notices that the stairs act as piano keys! Every next stair plays a high pitch! The team giggles at this discovery and they continue up and into the Forbidden City! The team slowly creeps into a large building in the Forbidden City. Slowly but surely they enter only to find the three big blue Dragon Kites. Leo notes that they must have gotten lost. Little Dragon Kite flies up to help them get down and all of the kites and kids proceed back down to Rocket. All of the kites tie them selves to Rocket and the kids all get inside!
BLAST OFF!!!
The kids zoom back to the Great Wall of China with the kites. Once there, the kites unties themselves and line up. There is a woodwind audience waiting on the Great Wall for the Parade to state. June looks at the card again and the images of the big Blue Kites have returned! Now they must find the large yellow kites. Rocket uses his look-and-listen scope and is able to find the general area of the Yellow Kites! They are somewhere in a river that goes through three very large gorges. Rocket flies to the river, but the team needs to find out what gorge the kites are in. After listening carefully, the kids are able to find out that the yellow kites are in the third gorge! Rocket flies down into the gorge and quickly finds the yellow dragon kites stuck in the River! Leo concludes that while they were flying their tails got caught in the water. Little Dragon Kite helps them get out of the water and all of the kites fly back with Rocket to the Great Wall with the Big Blue Kites ready to start. Annie notices that Little Dragon Kite is trying to uncover her eyes and not be afraid, but she keeps her tail covering her eyes. Once at the wall, the Yellow Kites meet up with the Blue. June examines the card again and all the Kites are now back except for the Orange Emperor Kite! Only one kite left to find!
Rocker lowers his look-and-listen scope and quickly finds and sees the Orange Emperor Kite stuck on the top of a huge mountain! Rocket zooms to the nearby mountain and tries his best to fly to the top. Unfortunately, there are very strong winds keeping Rocket from flying to the top. The kids try to find another way up to the top when Little Dragon Kite unties herself from Rocket and begins flying around the mountain and through the winds. "Kites love the wind!" June remembers. After watching, June comes to realizes that if Little Dragon Kite can fly around the mountain 18 times, she'll be able to rescue the Orange Emperor Kite! "1...2...3...4" Little Dragon Kite makes several loops around the mountain getting closer to the top every time. "9...10...11...12..." Little Dragon Kite is almost all the way to the top before it seems as if she might not make it."16....17....18!" Little Dragon Kite made all 18 rotations around the mountain and reached the top! Little Dragon Kite now leads the Orange Emperor Kite down the mountain and they all fly to the Great Wall to start the parade. While flying, Annie sees that Little Dragon Kite got over her fear of flying high! She isn't covering her eyes anymore!
Rocket arrives at the Kite Parade and there is a large instrument audience ready to start. The Orange Emperor Kite takes his place in the line up and asks if Little Dragon Kite if she will lead the parade! Little Dragon Kite accepts the offer and starts to lead the Parade down the Great Wall! June looks at the card again and sees that all of the kites are back! They did it! They got all of the kites back to the Great Wall and started the Great Kite Parade!
