  • What does all that flubba-dubba-dubbaing have to do with the northern night light?

    7.5
    "Good"
This episode sets a good example of how you can get over your fears like the dark, which is what Quincy was afraid of in the mission. Rocket and the team go to Lapland to help a baby reindeer when she gets separated from her mommy.

At first, the team gets afraid when night falls. Quincy helps them out by letting them sing his "Silly Song." The line that really illustrates Quincy's fear of the dark is when he goes, "I'm scared!" and then he freaks out! That's the center-most attentive part of the plot. Quincy has been helping the team, now the tables get turned.

What really shows the northern night light is those streaks of light in the Northern hemisphere called the "aurora borealis." Those lights help the whole team the rest of the mission.

I think they should reentitle the episode as "The Northern Night Light; or, Quincy's Silly Song."moreless

This one starts where the whole team is flying and Quincy makes up a "Silly song"! After singing it, the whole team starts being silly! even Rocket starts being silly! He takes them all the say to Lapland! The quickly find many reindeer! They notice that a baby reindeer runs off while chasing a little bird! The Little Einsteins make it their duty to find the Baby Reindeer and return her to her Mom! Quincy is the first to notice that it is getting dark quicker in Lapland. He has no delay in telling of his fear of the dark. He will not give up though unless the mission is finished! The team decides to be silly and get Quincy through the mission. The Einsteins are very sucsessful too! When dark comes, Quincy does get a little scared but the rest of the team helps him get through it all! The sun goes down and the Northen Lights start to light up the sky! "It's the best night-light in the world," as Annie said. The Little Einsteins find the Baby reindeer and return her to her mother! They complete another mission and return home, while being silly of course! :)moreless
  • Quincy and his fear of the dark...

This was the CUTEST episode ever! The kids go to Lapland to see reindeer when a little reindeer wanders off from its mother, the kids embark on yet another mission to find the little one and bring it back all while Quincy tries to get to get over his fear of the dark. One of my absolute favorites. Quincy was too cute with his 'flub-dub-dub-dub-dub-dub-flub-dub-dub-dub-dub-dub-flub-dub-dub-dub-da-duba-dubda' song, yup too cute, I hope they put this one on DVD, it would be too cute, oh and I also liked the 'Flight Of The Bumblebee'music, Nikolay Rismky-Korsakov is one of my personal favorites to listen to.^_^!moreless
  • The favorite episode so far in our house.

The episode itself isn't an extremely interesting or unique, it's a regular mission where they help an animal, something they often do.

It's not the episode itself that makes me give it such a high rating, it's my kids' reaction to the episode. It is, without a doubt, one of the easiest ways to get both of my kids to laugh, without having to tickle them. I don't know if it's that the characters spend so much time laughing, or if because of the silly song and accompanying face, but whatever it is, laughter fills the house when this episode is on.

I also love that someone took the song Flight of the Bumblebee and made it about something other than an insect!moreless
