The Crisler Story is about husband and wife photographers Herb and Lois Crisler and their attempt to film the migration of the caribou.
The Crislers set up their camp in the McKinley National Park at the mountain pass in the Brooks Range in the valley of the Killeck River.
As with all TLA's, more than just the title animals are filmed. While waiting for the migration, the Crislers filmed animals such as parka squirrels, and Canadian moose. Family shots of the fox, the Alaskan wolf and bears.
The first winter comes and the caribou do not arrive. They return the following summer and again they feel that caribou might not arrive. But at the last minute, they do.
