Were Doctor and Rose ever a 'couple'?

Where they?
Yes, but the Doctors first thought is that Rose is pregnant.
I took that to mean that he may have thought that she and Mickey picked up where they left off before the Doctor appeared in her life although I was thinking in my heart that maybe that's what he was alluding to...I dunno....I think RTD and crew were trying to mess with our minds...

Well, there are good eps and bad eps, but as the season goes on, it gets awesome! Just watched the latest episode and my throat actually hurts from the squeeing.

I honestly don't think there's been a bad episode at all this season.

Yes, but the Doctors first thought is that Rose is pregnant.

Doesn't mean they were going at it. He inquired because she could have had a boyfriend/Mickey.

I do. Gridlock for 42 minutes, the only watchable part was the secret. And 42 completely ripped off Satan Pit and End of the world

Yeah, I'm pretty fussy when it comes to liking episodes. It's like Marmite, I either love 'em or I hate 'em! I guess people have different views.

I concur that 42 wasn't great, but I liked Gridlock it was suitably quirky.

The only one is haven't liked this series is The Runaway Bride.

And how did this turn into an episode discussion? Talk about irrelevant tangents

It wasn't concerned, it was amazed. Like "Damn, you're pregnant, things really changed."

f you could not be with your best friend during her possible pregnancy and share that with her, andyouwould also never see her again, never see the son she is possibly carrying, wouldn't you be surprised and quite sad? It would be unrealistic if he didn't seem disturbed by the thought. Knowing the person will have a full life afterwards is one thing, seeing thet this new life has already begun and you are already missing it must be pretty bad.

Discussing the Doctor's reaction and motives in whatever scenario is still about the point of view the fan has. Unless the episode writer or Rusty states that This Is The Way It Should Be Seen (which I don't think they would), it's all about what we want to see.

So honestly, stating that 'I have proof' and 'this is really the right way of interpreting the looks and the words' doesn't work.

    It's all about opinions...

Even the not so good episodes have good moments, and the bad ones just make people think (and whine). Which is just more fodder for the whole fandom squee, and thus not a bad thing.

Because he was concerned/shocked for someone he cares about? He loved Rose IMO and I've seen small instances where the ninth Doctor was jealous in regards to Rose, but here it was not so. They weren't going at it in the TARDIS, that should be evident. But whether fans feel that the Doctor/Rose wanted to is a different matter entirely -- they were emotionally a couple but not physically.

She said, "I love you." He said "I know" Thus, he knew there wouldn't be anyone else. Yet he still thought she was pregnant. Logic, no?

She's 19, so perhaps he was worried that she was too young? Perhaps just surprised?
