    • TRIVIA (4)

      • Revealing Mistake: When the Cyber Leader is fighting the rogue Cyberman in the tombs, they hit the guard rail, which flexes quite a bit.

      • Plot Hole: Why is Lytton still transmitting a distress call when the cryons already answered it?

      • Revealing Mistake: When Lytton stabs the Cyber-Controller, green fluid splashes onto the camera lens.

      • Just how does the Doctor get drawn into the events in this story? In Part One, he was seen to respond to Lytton's distress call. In this episode he indicates, in conversation with Flast, that the Time Lords sent him to prevent the alteration of history. Presumably, the Doctor has realised that the Time Lords were responsible for dragging the TARDIS off course, thus ensuring that he would intercept Lytton's signal.

    • QUOTES (4)

      • The Doctor: Didn't go very well, did it?
Peri: Earth's safe. So is history, and the web of time.
The Doctor: I meant on a personal level. I don't think I ever misjudged anybody as badly as I did Lytton.

      • The Doctor: Hello, I'm the Doctor.
Rost [ pointing a gun ]: Unless you help us, you won't be for very much longer!

      • Peri: What is that terrible smell?
        Lytton: Death.
Griffiths: Trust him to cheer everyone up.

      • Lytton: Your regeneration has made you vindictive, Doctor.
The Doctor: Not at all. I've never found it difficult to despise people like you.

    • NOTES (2)

      • Rost was originally slated to be played by model Koo Stark, then famous for her relationship with Prince Andrew. She dropped out just before production.

      • Perhaps unsurprisingly, given the extent to which this story references its own mythology, the audience for Part Two was significantly lower than that for Part One.
