    • TRIVIA (2)

      • Cranleigh Hall is actually the Buckhurst House. Both it and the cricket ground featured in this story are at Buckhurst park in the town of Withyham in East Sussex. The woods at the Buckhurst estate had previously been used in Castrovalva.

      • Other Mistake: When the Doctor arrives at the cricket game, a batsman hits a ball and a fielder chases after it. The umpire then calls a "wide", which is impossible if the ball was hit.

    • QUOTES (6)

      • Charles: Well Doctor, how would you like to take a cocktail into your bath?
The Doctor: Well, certainly. A cold drink!
Adric: What on Earth do you do with a cocktail in a bath?
        Charles: Drink it, old boy.

      • Nyssa: What is this place?
        The Doctor: A railway station?
        Tegan: But when?
The Doctor: [ checking the console ] Three o'clock, June the eleventh, ninteen hundred and twenty-five.
Tegan: I haven't been born yet.
The Doctor: Interesting, isn't it? And no jet lag.

      • The Doctor: Why do I always let my curiosity get the better of me?

      • Sir Robert Muir: A superb innings, worthy of the master.
        The Doctor: The Master?
Sir Robert Muir: Well, the other doctor. W G Grace.

      • Cranleigh: What was his name again?
        The Doctor: Adric.
        Cranleigh: Scandinavian?
The Doctor: Not quite. He's Alzarian.
Cranleigh: I couldn't remember all those funny Baltic bits.

      • Adric: So what is a railway station?
The Doctor: Well, a place where one embarks and disembarks from compartments on wheels drawn along these rails by a steam engine — rarely on time.
Nyssa: What a very silly activity.
The Doctor: You think so? As a boy, I always wanted to drive one.
