  • NOT a bad serial. it starts out slow buut gets better :)

    9.5
a good serial & a decent Season 2 premire than i 1st thought. the doctor and company at the end stop the villian as they usally do. buuut this time they do it without even meeting the usual bad guy of the week! the special effects at the end are cool when they have the poisonious peanut turn to regualar size. the special effects for it's time are pretty cool looking & with the budget they had to have for their special effects as well. while the storyline had to do with helping the people of Earth. it wasn't as life threatening & serious as some of the other storylines such as let's say for example "The Cybermen" or any other of their usual villans that they faced throught the series. buut it had to with storylines that are more REAL than they normally face. such as a poison that can kill life on earth IF it's released to the public & the people of earth are yet again saved by our heroes! :)moreless

  • NOTES (1)

    • This was originally written and filmed as a four-episode story, but upon viewing, Head of Serials Donald Wilson felt that the serial suffered from a lack of resources, and was not strong enough to open the new season. It was not possible to run the serial after The Dalek Invasion of Earth as Susan leaves at the end of that serial, but he had the final two episodes edited together into one to improve pacing. The fourth episode would have been entitled An Urge to Live.
