    • TRIVIA (2)

      • The Doctor demonstrates a poor sense of direction when he asks Galloway which way the arrows came from. The arrow sticking out of the Captain's back and the two that struck the ground a few inches from the Doctor and Jill should have been pretty good indications of where they came from.

      • To get around the tower's absorbing all energy power not disabling the Daleks, the script has the Doctor claim that the Daleks move under "psychokinetic power." This implies the Daleks basically move through sheer mind power, using telekinesis to move the shells. This goes entirely against established continuity, such as in The Mutants. Plus, why haven't the Daleks then used mind over matter to move other objects? Lastly, even if they did use this form of movement, shouldn't the Exxilon tower have absorbed that energy, too, along with the energy being produced by the Doctor and everyone else? Granted, this would have made for a very short story...

    • QUOTES (2)

      • The Doctor: The Daleks don't seem to be following us.
Sarah Jane: Those robot things? Are they locals?
The Doctor: Hardly. They're probably the most technically advanced and ruthless lifeform in the galaxy.
Sarah Jane: But if they're robots, how is it their power's not affected? They can't half move!
The Doctor: Because they're only half robot, Sarah. Inside each of those shells is a living, bubbling lump of hate.
Sarah Jane: You mean they've got legs?
The Doctor: No. They move by psychokinetic power.
        Sarah Jane: I see.
        The Doctor: Do you?
        Sarah Jane: No.

      • Sarah Jane: [Hears roaring noise]That sounded awfully close. The Doctor: It's some sort of subterranean wind effect, I should think. Sarah Jane: [Hears another roar]Who are you kidding? The Doctor: Myself, chiefly. Sarah: [Hears another roar]I think I hear your "wind effect" gnashing its teeth.
