FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (7)

    • Plot Hole: Davros orders the Daleks to exterminate the prisoners. However, the prisoners are later seen alive and well.

    • Revealing Mistake: A moment after Davros leads the Daleks away, ranting about ruling the Universe, the top half of one of the Daleks pops up from the operator moving inside.

    • Revealing Mistake: Whenever Davros moves under his own power, he wobbles side to side – the motion of David Gooderson frantically waddling the chair along.

    • Audio Problem: Just before the Doctor detonates the explosive, the sounds of the inside of the TARDIS can be heard.

    • Plot Hole: A great deal is made about how deeply buried Davros is, on the fourth level of the Kaled city. The Daleks have to dig a long time to reach him. Yet when the Doctor wheels him into another room, he and his friends simply crawl out onto the surface through a window.

    • When the Dalek discovers where the Doctor has Davros confined, muffled speech from the two characters is heard. This is apparently to simulate the Dalek using long range audio sensing equipment. However, the dialogue the Dalek hears are lines already spoken earlier in the episode.

    • It appears that no attempt was made to disguise some of the props used, such as hospital beds, in the hallway scenes at the end of the episode. The stage lamps are also fully visible.

  • QUOTES (8)

    • Davros: Now that I have returned, the campaign will begin in earnest. I have slept, but now I have awakened, and the universe will be sorry.
The Doctor: Dav… "I have slept, but now I have awakened, and the universe will be…" You're misquoting Napoleon! One day I'll tell you what happened to him, too.

    • Davros: Do you believe your puny efforts can change the course of destiny?
The Doctor: Well… let's just say I might tamper with it.
      Davros: Destiny, Doctor.
      The Doctor: What?
      Davros: Invincible necessity.
The Doctor: Oh that, that, yes.
Davros: My power. My invincibility. My supreme plan to control the univ-
The Doctor: The universe. Yes, yes, I've heard all that before. Now do be a good chap, eh? Stay quiet. I've got to concentrate.

    • The Doctor: Davros! You don't look a day older and I'd hoped you were dead.
Davros: Dead! I do not die! Mark this moment Doctor. In the history of the universe, this moment is unique! Davros lives!
The Doctor: Yes, well I can see your long rest hasn't done anything to cure your megalomania.

    • Doctor: Davros! You don't look a day older than I hoped you were dead.

    • Dalek: Self-sacrifice illogical, therefore impossible.

    • The Doctor: All I have to do is squeeze my sonic screwdriver and boom-boom Davros.
      Davros: You need not elaborate.

    • Davros: Until the Daleks' universal supremacy is accomplished, I can not allow myself the luxury of death.
The Doctor [ mockingly ]: Awww, poor Davros!

    • Davros: Ha... How long do you think you can sustain your advantage, alone, and against such odds?
The Doctor: Wouldn't you like to know, eh? Wouldn't you like to know...? [sotto voce] Wouldn't I like to know...
