Equipment Visible: When the Doctor is speaking to Quinn in his cottage, the boom mike shadow moves over Quinn's face.

It is repeatedly stated that the reptile people were from the Silurian Period (436 to 408 million years ago). The production team received a wave of correspondence from viewers pointing that this was certainly wrong, and the Doctor takes the opportunity in The Sea Devils to note that this was a mistake by the man who discovered them, and that they should be called Eocenes. (The Eocene Period was some 34 to 55 million years ago.)
