  • The charade continues as Doc Hollidays hides his identity and puts it on the Doctor.

    5.2
The Doctor is confronted by the Clanton brothers and put in prison. The Doctor denies he is Doc Holliday but to no avail. However, as the idiot Brothers continue to think about it they think that the Doctor might be telling the truth. Meanwhile, the real Doc Holliday plots his escape and kills a guard in the process. A mob at the end forms to see Doc at first glance.

That's the episode. It's rather silly and predictable. There is where Doctor Who becomes of a comedy show than a sci-fi show. Ordinally I would laugh but the jokes were not convincing and have been done in other things like Three Stooges. Hartnell was great as a serious actor but his comedy skills at times just weren't keen. Also this episode just has too much talking and hardly any action except for one scene where Doc shoots an escort near the end.

If you're going to make episodes about westerns then make them more interesting than this this is just so ho-hum and it's not surprising that most Who viewers won't put this on their top ten list of best episodes ever.moreless
