I became a fan of Doctor Who in 1977. In 1979 there was a ETV fund raiser going on during Doctor Who. One of the persons asking for our $$$ was the head of the local Doctor Who fan club. Wonder what ever happen to those guys? Wellhe had a Tom Baker scarf on. I told myfriend that I really wanted one of those. Over the years I have asked people who kit to make me one. Many were very well meaning ladies, including my wife, who would think would never go back on their words. But al last no scarf. This year BBC America Shop sold them this year. 12' and 6'. My wife got me the 12' one. I don't care what people will say. I wearing it to church, work, my children school/daycare, etc... I think it is cool and I have waited a long time for it. I may even wear it year round as the Doctor did. Well maybe not during the summer.

well the scarf is far to big for me but to each their own. i think since it's the winter season that it's perfect for you man to wear. but when it's warmer i think you would look like an idiot and be far to hot if you wore it all year round. Tom Baker had to do it for the show let me add.

sorry for the double post my puter is acting funny

The size not as much of a problem as you would think. It took me a few wearing but I have it down to where I can wrap it and it wear well and does not get in the way. Baker is talker than I'm and he would allow his to drag on the ground which I will not.
