Among the props seen on the Doctor's workbench are a Morok freezing machine from The Space Museum (which was recycled previously as an x-ray laser in The Wheel in Space), and a control panel belonging to Tobias Vaughn from The Invasion.
At the end of Episode 2, when the Auton steps down and approaches Ransome, its hand is normal. In the reprise in Episode 3, the hand opens to reveal the gun.
You can see occasional glimpses of the blue projection screen at the edge of the shrubs through the door of the U.N.I.T. tent. The grass also looks suspiciously like green carpeting.
