  • The Doctor looks for Nyssa when the Tardis docks with another ship thanks to Turlough's betrayal.

    8.0
This is a unique Doctor Who storyline as there's no clear cut enemy for the first episode. Instead, we get a mysterious man calling out to Turlough to sabotage the Tardis. Instead of doing that Turlough enables the Tardis to dock with a ship.

This is no ordinary ship as we find out in the end of the episode. Nyssa is the first to explore the ship, the rest follow.

The Doctor then meets a couple of raiders and smugglers on the same ship, but they have different motives for being there.

The first episode like other Doctor Who is more of an exploration episode setting the tone of the story. You can tell that this is going to be darker Doctor Who as the episode nears its climax.

The following episodes are equally as dark and repulsive and make this a very memorable storyline from the Peter Davidson. Also, this is the last storyline with Nyssa following the loss of Adric, so we'd be stuck with Tegan and Turlough until Perry came along not necessarily the best companions of Peter Davidson era.moreless
