  • Good episode, good cliffhanger

I often think I am biased towards always liking Jon Pertwee's Doctor Who serials as opposed to other actors who have played the Doctor because his was the Doctor I grew up with.

Either that or his period of Doctor Who history is a genuinely brilliant one, as I rarely dislike any of his episodes. This one is no exception. After Part 1 perfectly set up the return of the Autons, the introductions of the Master and assistant Jo Grant, Part 2 aptly moves the adventure along at a vastly enjoyable pace.

This is an adventure that both kids and adults can enjoy. Several of the special effects look dated now but some of the Master's killer plastic creations will give children sleepless nights, especially any with teddy bears...
