  • The Ark In Space, is the fourth and final story. In the conclusion, The Doctor must race agianst time to save the human race. Tom Baker is at his best as the Doctor for the conclusion of "The Ark In Space." Baker was the longest running Doctor. Series

Classic. Various actors portrayed Dr. Who during the show's 26 year run. Various actors portrayed Dr. Who with different personalaties. The Doctor dies, and regenerates after death. The First Doctor died after getting weaker, and regenerated into a much younger Doctor (Played by Patrick Troughton for 3 years.) The Second Doctor (Patrick Troughton) was the only incarnation to be forced to regenerate by the Time Lords, and exiled to Earth. The Third Doctor (Jon Pertwee) was a wiz with Gadgets. He drove Bessie and the WhoMobile. Pertwee's Doctor died in Part six and the conclusion of "Planet of the Spiders," and he regenerated into Tom Baker. Tom Baker regenerated into Peter Davison in Logopolis, Part four (Conclusion.) Davison's Doctor regenreated into Colin Baker. Colin Baker was treated unfairly by the BBC, when they fired him. He chose not to return for a four-part regeneration story. Sylvester McCOy was the Seventh Doctor. In 1996, The Seventh Doctor regenerated into Doctor #8 (Paul McGann.)
Christopher Eccholston played the Nineth Doctor from 2005-2006. He regenerated into the Tenth and current Doctor (Played now by David Tennant.)
