Other Mistake When the android looks at the Doctor, his hearts appear to be in front of his jacket lapels.
Other Mistake: When Sharaz Jek shows his map to the Doctor, he tells him that the green area is controlled by the army. But later we find out that the white dots are his androids. There are a lot of white dots in the area controlled by the army.
Two significant scenes were cut for length in this episode. After Salateen and Chellak conspire to send Ensign Cass on a "deep penetration mission" from which few return, Chellak notes that Salateen is the only one who ever returned from such a mission. Additionally, after Stotz and Krelper have their fight, Stotz tells the crew that their orbiting ship will not land without instructions from him.
Peri: (regarding Sharez Jek) He's mad. Utterly mad.
The Doctor: And also arrogant. He said I was almost his intellectual equal. Such incredible conceit!
Sharaz Jek: Your sense of humour will be the death of you, Doctor.
Sharaz Jek: You have the mouth of a prattling jackanapes. But your eyes… They tell a different story.
Peri: Why are you keeping us here?
Sharaz Jek: Oh, my exquisite child. How could I ever let you go? The sight of beauty is so important to me.
Krelper: "A two-day job," you said!
Stotz [mocking]: "A two-day job," I said, "If we was lucky!" But we weren't lucky, were we Krelper…? And your luck's run out right now.
