    • QUOTES (2)

      • The Doctor: You won't win, not ultimately.
The Master: You're mistaken! With Kamelion's unique ability at my command, it's only a matter of time before I undermine the key civilisations of the universe. Chaos will reign, and I shall be its emperor.
The Doctor: Earth is a primitive planet. You won't succeed so easily elsewhere.
The Master: Where I cannot win by stealth, I shall destroy. That way, I cannot fail to win!
        The Doctor: You'll never succeed.
The Master: Unfortunately, you won't be alive to find out.

      • King John: Behold, our demon! We too have tricks.

    • NOTES (3)

      • The Doctor Who Missing Adventure Novel "THE CRYSTAL BUCEPHALUS" by Craig Hinton takes place between The King's Demons, Part two and The Five Doctors. The Crystal Bucephalus features The 5th Doctor, Tegan, Turlough and Kamelion.

      • The season was intended to conclude with Eric Saward's Warhead, but the industrial action that dogged the latter parts of the season forced its postponement until midway through the next season where it was produced under the title Resurrection of the Daleks. The ending of this story was thus rewritten to lead into the anniversary special, The Five Doctors.

      • Kamelion was a genuine android offered for use on the show by the producers' regular SFX contractors Imagineering. Always on the lookout for a chance to attract some publicity, the producer agreed to take Kamelion on as a semi-regular member of the TARDIS crew. Unfortunately the android's creator was killed in a boating accident leaving no notes as to how its software actually operated. As a result, all of Kamelion's future appearances were one-by-one abandoned, and the android makes only one other, predominantly static, appearance, in Season 21's Planet of Fire.
