  • Trivia

    • Despite having been working with Doctor since The Web of Fear, this is the first time we see the Brigadier inside the TARDIS.

    • Other Mistake: When UNIT HQ vanishes, there is grass where the building used to be.

    • Revealing Mistake: When Omega looks at his scanner, the edge of the television screen behind the set can be seen.

    • Revealing Mistakes: When the First Doctor appears on the scanner, the camera crew are clearly seen reflected in the monitor.

    • Revealing Mistake: When the gel creature is chasing Tyler, it bumps into a wall right before the cut to the next scene.

    • Continuity: Jo put her umbrella in Bessie before the anti-matter creature attacked it. When they find Bessie in Omega's world, the umbrella is gone.

    • Revealing Mistake: When the Doctor and Jo find Bessie, her tyres are covered with white dust, showing she was driven into the quarry, not transported.

    • Plot Hole: The view from the TARDIS scanner is from the far side of the lab and includes the TARDIS itself.

    • Omega was originally going to be called "Ohm" but Barry Letts felt that this was too obvious a play on the word "Who".

  • Quotes

    • Brigadier [ regarding the First Doctor ]: Who in the name of heaven was that?
Second Doctor: I'm afraid you'd never believe me.

    • The Second Doctor: That's the problem with anti-matter. You see the effect, but never the cause. It's like being punched on the nose by the Invisible Man!

    • Brigadier [ on seeing the second Doctor has returned ]: Oh, no!
Second Doctor [ grinning ]: Oh, yes!

    • [The Third Doctor and Jo find the door to the lab in Omega's world.]
      Jo: It's locked.
Third Doctor: Well, it says, "No Admittance."

    • Brigadier: Well, in that case, Doctor, I suggest you contact those all-powerful superiors of yours!
Second Doctor:: Oh, I don't think that would do any good. You see, at the moment, they're far from all-powerful. That's why it's been left up to me and me and me.

    • Benton: What are we going to do now?
Second Doctor: Keep it confused. Feed it with useless information. I wonder if I have a television set handy.
