    FILTER BY TYPE

    • TRIVIA (6)

      • The Sontarans are meant to be a clone race, identical in every way. However, not only are the Sontarans featured here taller then previous ones, there is a significant height difference between Varl and Stike.

      • Continuity: When the Doctor eavesdrops on Chessene and Shockeye, the hacienda window is open. Then when he makes a noise and Chessene investigates, the window is closed.

      • Revealing Mistakes: The Sontaran collars are very loose, most notably when Stike confronts the second Doctor.

      • Revealing Mistake: When the Doctor interrogates the space station computer, he sets a mass of text scrolling up the screen. Amidst the amusing text is an error message from the program that generated the text: "String too long @ 720".

      • The second Doctor states that the sedative used on him effects memory. This might explain why the sixth Doctor doesn't remember this adventure from the perspective of his earlier self.

      • Shockeye asks Chessene about a creature that he's found. Chessene has probed la Doòa Arana's memory and says that she knew the creature as "a rat." Although it's established that Arana spoke some English, it's more likely that she knew the creature as "una rata."

    • QUOTES (7)

      • Dastari: I'm afraid I can't give you a full anaesthetic.
The Second Doctor: Doing the job on the cheap, are you?
Dastari: You have to be conscious while the neuron bombardment excites the brain cells. I shall then be able to examine them.
The Second Doctor: You should be examining your own brain cells, Dastari. Most of them must have leaked out your ears, or you wouldn't be involved in this madness!

      • The Second Doctor: Tea-time already, nurse?
        Stike: I do not understand.
The Second Doctor: Just as well. Face like yours wasn't made for laughing.

      • Peri: Doctor!
Jamie: He's not the Doctor I know.
The Sixth Doctor: I am so, Jamie McCrimmon. I am another aspect of him, as he is of me.
        Jamie: Eh?
The Sixth Doctor: I was him. He will be me.
        Jamie: Who will I be?

      • The Doctor [of his Second Incarnation]: Allowing himself to be captured by the Sontarans. If anything happens to me as a result of it I shall never forgive himself.
Peri: Oh, I do wish you'd stop switching personal pronouns!

      • The Doctor: You look better for your change of clothes and bath. You should try it more often.
        Jamie: Oh, thank you. Whaaat?

      • The Doctor: Small though it is, the human brain can be quite effective when used properly.

      • Jamie: My Doctor wouldn't have done that!
The Doctor: Your Doctor is an antediluvian fogey!

    • NOTES (0)

    • ALLUSIONS (1)

      • The Barber of Seville: After contacing himself on the astral plane, the Doctor references this Rossini opera, saying "something to do with getting my hair cut" and singing the first few bars of the overture.
