  • The Doctor, Susan and Ian discover more about the Sensorites strengths and weakness and try to come up with a diplomatic solution.

Interesting episode, the Doctor tries to be diplomatic with the Sensorites who are less than hospitable. Their mind control can be broke but not without physical damage to earthlines. The Doctor finds another crewman and thinks that the disovery of a special substance is what led to the crewman being hurt around the Sensorites.

It's discovered in the episode that the Sensorites have rather poor eyesight in the dark which leads to the Doctor gaining an advantage. The Doctor and couple of Sensorites begin speaking but when Ian falls to the floor after drinking the water on the planet, the Doctor forms a theory that the Sensorites illness is being caused by their water supply.

A decent episode once again well acted. A couple of interesting turns here. It seems that there is an internal struggle of leadership within the Sensorites (some of them want to trust the Doctors, others want to kill all the humans).

Overall for any Who fan it's worth a watch, not too mention that it's another full and complete William Hartnell episode without any reconstruction.moreless

Sensorite: You are in no position to threaten us.
The Doctor: I don't make threats, but I do make promises. And I promise you, I will cause you more trouble then you bargained for, if you don't return my property!
