- Currently there are three models of K-9 roaming the universe. The first one was left behind with Leela on Gallifrey, the second (this one) stays with Romana in E-Space, while a third one is gifted to Sarah Jane Smith by the Doctor. It is the third model that has made every subsequent appearance in the series. The one left behind in this episode has not been seen since.
