It's easy to jump to the conclusion that all people who run afoul of the law are hopeless and mean-spirited, without any redeeming factors at all. While for some this is true, for others, they are only human and struggle very hard to pull themselves out of their problems.

Two of the latter type are on the list for Dog's team today. Frank had a history with ice, but his wife says he's trying to get off it so he can stay with her and the kids. However, he missed a court date, so the road's not going to be that easy. Dog won't give up and wants to see the man find help.

Christy is an AIDS victim struggling with a crack habit. She has been arrested literally dozens of times. The bail agents are ready to be angry with her at first, but when they bring her in to the office, she tells a tale of family involvement with drugs going back to her childhood, and a mother who refused to help. The bail revocation process may actually be the thing that makes Christy stop using and save herself.

One of the best things about this show is that Dog and his cohorts really care about people and will help anyone who shows remorse and potential.

A very moving episode that shows you every side of the issues, whether they are easy to accept or not.moreless
