Anyone think that The Dog Whisperer will win in its category? It is up against: Penn & Teller, Kathy Griffin, Extreme Makeover and Antique Roadshow.

Personally, I like this show, but I think that Penn & Teller's show deserves it more.  Still even to be nominated is a huge success for a show on the National Geographic channel!

Wow! That's nice to hear that it was nominated. I do have to say I'm surprised because I thought DW was more of a niche show rather than one that gets general attention.

I like this show, but I'm not sure if it will win. I would like it to, but I think one of the other ones will probably have more chance of winning.

I have absolutely no doubt that if the competition was amngst the cable stations, Dog Whisperer would win hands down! Still this has got to bea source of pride for National Geographic Channel as this was the only program from that station to make the nomination cuts!! It is a challenge that it is up against a network show

They submitted the episode with the United Hope For Animals story which is theepisode with Hope, Maureen Chloe and Sam.

    Episode 63. Season 3 episode 16 of season 3. First aired 3/30/07

Segment 1 - United Hope for Animals

Produced by: Sheila Possner Emery & Kay Bachman Sumner

    Series Producer: SueAnn Fincke

Editors: Nena Olwage; Janelle Ashley Nielson; Edick Hossepian

Written By Jim Milio & Melissa Jo Peltier

    Directed by: SueAnn Fincke

Now the really cool thing, is that already there has been tremendous recognition~ because just to get this far, they chose to submit the episode with the United Hope For Animals story. However, the way the nominations work, all 11,000 members of the Academy vote for up to five nominees in each category. There were about 55programs inthat category. Next, a panel of Academy members will review thatsubmitted episode along with those of the other nominees. Each panel member votes in private, they count up the votesand the result is announced Sept. 8th.
