In the year 2347, humans are being moved to New Earth from Old Earth, which has been declared uninhabitable. But the Dogstar, a robot-piloted intergalactic ark transporting all the family dogs, fails to arrive. The Clark kids and their grandmother set off to find the Dogstar and their family dog, Hobart.
