Doogie's date with Wanda quickly turns into an emergency when she needs an appendectomy, and he's forced to participate in the surgery. But the surgery's success also earns Doogie some ills of his own: a dressing-down from Dr. Canfield for not following procedures and Wanda being upset for seeing her undressed.moreless

    In this series, Doogie is faced with all the problems of being a 16 year old boy and all the problems with being a resident at a hospital.

    This episode is the first in which the two really collide and he's forced to perform surgery on his girlfriend.

    It hard for both Doogie and Wanda to reconcile the boy-girl romance with the doctor-patient clinical procedures.

    Even in a half hour format this episode covered a lot of sensitive ground. ANd it covered it well. Bravo!moreless
