This episode was a bit of a disappointment in some ways.

Doogie hurts Vinnie by not inviting him to the party but doesn't sincerly apologise. The apology was lukewarm at best and the scene falls flat on its face.

Also I was very disappointed that Doogie doesn't confess to his Dad about what he did. It would have been nice to see that scene.

I was glad that he atleast learnt a lesson by what he wrote in his Journal at the end of the episode. Overall it was nothing special. Just an episode where Doogie acts like a fool for most of it. I could have sworn Curly and the others were laughing at him. Canfield certainly was.moreless

    • Doogie's Journal Entry: February 24, 1990... There's nothing better than being cool and having a lot of friends... except being uncool and having one real friend.

    • Doogie: Dad, can I take your 750 to the party tonight?
Dr. Howser (pondering for a moment): No.
Doogie: Why? I have proven myself to be responsible and mature.
Dr. Howser: A mature person doesn't wear an earring, cut holes in a brand new pair of jeans and call his father 'Mungo dude.' Right, dear?
Mrs. Howser: I like the earring.

    • Doogie (low fiving Dr Canfield's hand in greeting): Hey, my man! Dr. Canfield (looking up and down at Doogie's attire): This is a new look for you, Douglas. Doogie: Yeah, well, I'm just trying to hang easy, you know? Go with the flow. No more bogus ties for me. I guess I've just found who I am. Dr. Canfield: Can you also find a pair of pants that cover your knees, Dr. Howser?

    • Doogie: Doc, that's what me amigos call me.

    • Griffin:You wanna be cool?
      (Doogie nods his head)
Griffin: That's cool. I'm your man. I'm gonna make you the second coolest dude around, Darren.
      Doogie: Doogie.
      Griffin: We'll change that.
