Vinnie and Doogie both have father issues in this episode. Vinnie's father is dating again and chooses to bring a masseuse to a party at Doogie's new home. Meanwhile Douglas Howser M.D. gets a job offer to work at the hospital, which causes Doogie and his mother to consider (and hesitate at the thought of) another Howser working at Eastman.
