Dotto

Show Summary

"Dotto" had two contestants guessing the identity of a famous person/place/thing that was outlined by a series of dots.

Contestants answered questions that were worth points. A question was worth 5, 8, or 10 dots. If a player guessed right, the dots were connected. If the player guessed wrong, their opponent recieved the dots. When a player reached 25 connected dots, a clue was given to that player. At 35 dots, a second clue was given. The amount of money that player won was determined by the amount of dots that were unconnected.

As a result of the infamous game show scandals of the 1950s, "Dotto" was the first show dropped, without warning, after the August 15, 1958 broadcast and replaced the following Monday with the show "Top Dollar."
