  • A good episode, but it's more appreciative for it how it's made rather than for laughs.

    8.5
This was the first episode made after the series was green-lighted (by that I mean the first three episodes were made together as a sort of joint pilot, they pitched the idea to the ABC, and then the series was given the okay. This was the first episode after this). Arguably this can be seen as the location changed, the visual effects were more complex, and they even had a major guest star, Ugly Dave Gray.

In terms of the episodes quality, it's pretty well done. It's nowhere near as funny as the previous episode "Fistathlon", but there are some big laughs to be had. The most memorable quote is easily about Steve's introduction to the poltergeist room.

This episode is great for a laugh, and is enjoyable on it's own. However, if viewed for the first time right after "Fistathlon" (like I showed it at a friends place), it could be seen as a far inferior episode.

Still, I think that on second viewing, especially of the Logie credits at the end, it can be appreciated a lot more.moreless
