    Hi All,

What did you think of the Christmas Special and the way in which certain storylines were dealt with?

I haven't stopped squeeing over Matthew and Mary I didn't think they would have a happy ending so I was greatly surprised. And it was such a lovely setting with the snow, the fire at the back... squee!

No surprise that Bates was found guilty but got away with his life. So far so good.

Kind of surprised at O'Brien becoming more and more decent while Thomas' escalates into more and more despicable.

Sybil is pregnant (and allowed to visit Lady_Lancaster , here is hope we are right and she is written in nicely) and Edith pursuing love. I guess she could do better but if that's what she wants, then go her!

Violet cracked me up as per usual (lol at asking Carlisle to promise not to ever see her again) and Isobel gave Matthew the best advice ever!

I'll be able to focus more and elaborate better when I can make myself stop watching the last scene over and over

That last scene was perfect! I have wanted a Matthew/Mary happy ending right from the very beginning so I am delighted. The swirling snow, that gorgeous dress and the down on one knee proposal etc. Perfect! *grin*

Sybil I like, Branson, I don't but I suppose he'll come to visit when she does. *wink* Never been a Branson fan, but I like Sybil. As for Bates, he is my least favourite character and I would have been quite happy if he had been hanged - evil me! Anna could do better. Plus, he's tons older than her.

Not sure what is going to happen with Edith. Doesn't look like she will end up with Sir Anthony. Maybe there is someone for her in Season 3?

LOVED IT when Matthew thumped Sir Richard, wish I could have helped him!!!!!!! *grin*. Mrs. P and Mrs. H keep giving Daisy a hard time about William - it really isn't their business but I'm glad Mr. Mason was happy. *smile*

Excellent episode. I shall watch the episode several more times as well but I DO have to wonder what the use of Lord Hepworth an Marigold Shore were? They didn't actually add anything of import to the storyline (even though I love Nigel Havers). It just seemed weird that they were there, but at least he was great fodder for more excellent lines for Violent! (Maggie Smith is brilliant!)

    9.5/10 from me.

It was perfect indeed Now call me corny but I thought he would take out the little dog she gave him from his pocket at some point

I haven't warmed up much to Branson either, I hope that they love each other for real (each of them seem to encapsulate a hard to achieve dream for each other so I hope that once the goal has been achieved the novelty doesn't wear off fast) and are able to be happy.

Lmao! Yeah, Anna might have done better but they are a perfect match for each other.

I hope so, she deserves some romance. And I don't think she'll end up with Sir Anthony either.

I like Mrs Pattmore but she gets on my nerves when she patronizes Daisy all the time. I'm sorry for poor Mr. Mason but he deserves to know the truth. It seems that after the meeting at the farm Daisy is growing fonder of him though. She is alone in the world and seems to appreciate some sort of family love (plus she is in need of good advice).

Let the games begin and our imaginations run riot for Season 3! It seems such a long way away at this point but I will have my DVDs to watch. *grin*.
