I don't really have much to discuss. I just wanted to have my opinion on record somewhere in the world.
Dr. Rey is a selfish jerk. Why bother to get married and have children if all you want to do is still run around and play like a little boy?
Why are they still married? Why did they have a second child?
If he's smart, he should be able to determine that the alimony and child support that he is going to end-up paying is going to cost him a lot more than his glorified Karate classes.
Hey, Dr. Rey: Get over the daddy issues already and be the man that your family needs you to be.

Thank you for saying what I've been thinking all along!!
I honestly feel bad for his wife. I used to think she was really whiney, but as the season progresses, you see Dr Rey's true colors. He is so bent on his reputation and work that he never spends time with his family.

I have the same impression regarding his wife & kids. His wife is so lonely & why can't he see that? I don't think that losing her will even smarten him up.

I agree that Dr Rey is very selfish. He is not good husband material. But I really believe that he loves his children. The last few shows have shown him trying to get closer to them. I am not sure how he feels about his wife. He never really shows any affection to her and the few times he did anything for her he has made some kind of insensitive remarks to ruin it. But.....he is an awesome doctor and if I were to ever consider this type of surgery, I would want Dr Rey to perform it!!

I disagree too. Dr Rey works HARD. He's a doctor so of course he's gonna work long hours and hardly be home. His wife knew what she was getting into. If he wants to relieve some stress with martial arts, that's his right.If his wife is so lonely, she should get a job instead of sitting at home deciding what to throw up next.If you marry someone who is military, in the police force, firefighter, etc; you know to expect alot of lonely nights. If she's so unhappy she can take her bony butt back to Canada.

So I agree to a point that Dr. Rey is a selfish jerk.. but we also have to consider that out of hours of tapes that they make following them around.. What made the cutting room floor. I have watched some shows where they talk about the behind the scenes of reality shows and how one character is made out to look one way when there is this whole different side that we dont see. So honestly you know the producers are going to make sure they put on the screen the stuff that will make the viewers watch..

I agree. he's quite selfish. He also thinks that buying stuff to his wife and children in a way of showing love. I know he is a doctor and that he is busy, but anyone remember that time when his wife came back from Canada, and all he did was talk about the things he had done while being at home? I personally think he is creating a lot of trouble in his wife and that why she is SO depressed (reason why she became an anorexic).

DR. REY IS NOT A SELFISH JERK Wow after reading your statements on this man and his family I found the reason the world is so messed up. Stop blaming everyone else for your own stuff, Hayley is sad and lonely cause she has nothing. She wants nothing she used her beauty to snag a wonderful man and then went right into "The Hollywood Lifestyle" When Dr Rey started Hayley was a beautiful woman,it was her if you can remember that far back she told Robert she was to fat and needed to lose some weight, Robert told her she was fine not to skinny not to Fat. Hayley had to keep up with Hollywood and now she just looks SAD. No worries people he will leave her,for a much healthier woman. Dr. Rey made it very clear to his wife he likes a little meat on his bones And when you watch the show check out the name of the show DR. ReY 90210(not Dr. Rey and Hayley show) I think robert is being very sweet for letting her be on the show,I mean how were you going to know about Hayley if not for the doc. it's not like she has her own show. And further more If she was spending my money crazy like that I would stop it also,have you seen the kitchen,it's not even her idea she saw it in another woman kitchen and now she is coping this woman home and idea's how sad is that. she is a spoiled little brat that has to much money and time on her hands,she need to get a JOB,and be her own woman and stop waiting for Robert to complete her.

The poor man can't work all day everyday and be there to hold her hand. If she wants that he'll have to cut his case load and that means cutting back on the money she so loves. For someone who stays at home all day Hayley looks a mess. She should for the time being get a part time sitter and go out and un wind and stop blaming everything on him when she's just as big a problem.

You people have no clue. Dr. Rey is a hard working man who came from nothing. He has worked so hard to provide for his family so that they can have what he didn't. Unfortunately, he married a spoiled brat who was already used to having everything and is as controling as her mother. He discontinued his hobbies to spend more time with his family, and she STILL wasn't happy (who's the selfish one??). She constantly complained and said he was home too much!! She doesn't respect him as a man and no matter what he does, she'll NEVER be happy. I feel bad for him because I know what keeps him from leaving is the kids. He's insane to want another kid with her. He should just drop her and find someone who can appreciate him. She's a spoiled brat who will always want more and will never change.
