A report from the filming of Dr. Horrible from the person whose house was used as the evil supervillain lair...

    Yeah that's not a set it's actually a guy's house...

That guy is also the Purple Pimp from the final party scene in Act III...

His name is Jonathan Reilly and here's his blog about having Dr. Horrible filmed in his house...

I just read the blog and I find it fascinating how some people decorate their home.

Dr. Horrible's lair is nice, but it's nothing compared to Fake Monticello.

Yes, he actually did according to Joss Whedon himself.

And now I have to wonder. Joss said they did not bring a "chair increaser."

Meaning ... what, exactly? It may mean that he has one, and just did not bring it, because there was already a pre-increased chair on the premises.

What a marvelously specific object! A chair increaser. For the increasement of chairs.

Seriously, this could revolutionize air travel!

The lair is the house from "Monster House: Mad Scientist House" - says so in the commentary. I watched that Monster House episode live way back then, thought I recognized some of the stuff during Dr. Horrible but it was vague.
