The episode opens with Jonathan waking up to Ben making him breakfast. He's made bologna sandwiches and coffee. He shows Jonathan the morning paper, where there is an article mentioning him. The article reads "According to bystander Benjamin Katz, no more than three shots and possibly as few as none, were fired." Ben witnessed a crime the night before. Jonathan tells his father that witnesses often remain anonymous, and appears a bit nervous that Ben revealed his name.
Ben comes to the office, and talks with Laura. He asks her if she read the paper today, and brags to her about being quoted in the paper for being a witness. Laura tells Ben that it's dangerous for him to have his name listed as a witness. Ben says he isn't worried, because criminals can't read.
Ben talks with his dad on the phone, and tells him that he's been reading the article over and over again, and he's happy with it, except that he doesn't like how his name is listed. He thinks that the name "Ben" doesn't read well, and that he should change it to something like "Zeus."
Back at the apartment, Ben and Jonathan talk more about Ben's newfound fame. Ben says that he feels lonely, and believes it's because he's "at the top." Jonathan thinks he may be lonely about other things, and that Ben shouldn't get too attached to being a witness.
The next day, Ben is depressed. He can't deal with the pressure of fame. He says he won't be going to court, because of the media presence. He also reveals that he wasn't really a witness, and that the media pretty much invented that. Ben admits to his dad that he saw the group of people congregating after the crime. However, he blames the media for printing his lie. Jonathan tells Ben that he's a little disappointed in him.
