Dr. Katz Professional Therapist has a great first episode with "Pot-Bellied Pigs." From the start the characters well written (er, well improvised) and very much in character, somewhat of a rarity as far as pilot episodes go.
Dom Irrera and Bill Braudis are both good in this episode. Bill would later do writing for another Tom Snyder Production, "Home Movies," and you can find similarities between his routines and the style of many jokes from HM. The animation style is certainly stylized and very much a love it or hate it, and there is very little difference between this episode and later ones, so if you hate it, don't cross your fingers for anything more down the road. I find it charming, however.
A very good episode, start of something great.
