  • TRIVIA (1)

    • The rumors that Erika's father forced her to quit the show are simply UNTRUE. When the time came to renew contracts, CBS required the regulars to sign a five-year contract, including Jane Seymour. Erika wanted to pursue her education, but still enjoyed doing Dr. Quinn. CBS executives agreed to the producers' request to increase Erika's salary in attempt to keep her on the show, but still demanded that she sign the contract, to which Erika didn't want to commit that long time period. The producers had no other choice but to bring in Jessica Bowman, and wish Erika the best. She still remained friends with cast and crew, and would often drop by the set for lunch and to visit everyone.
